Abstract
The private–public partnership (PPP) is a concept which is not yet fully studied or investigated by the world even after long years of its emergence. It is proposed as a device for Sustainable Development Goals. To fill the gap between increasing global population and depletion of resources, PPP is a modern strategy for the States. In India, NITI Aayog, the successor of the Planning Commission, is fostering to promote sustainable development through the PPP model. The performance of NITI Aayog is considerable since its inception, inspite of its infancy. However, the research on the Programmes and Policies of this organization is very meager. This research paper focuses on the distinguished gap, by renewing sustainability-oriented PPP studies of NITI Aayog and brings to light the relationship between Sustainable Development and PPP studies. And explores the meaning of sustainable development, introduces NITI Aayog, and highlights its role in promoting sustainable development in India through PPP.
